Firstly, thanks so much for the wonderful comments, stars and faves for yesterday's early morning layered scene.

So glad to see this male common blue butterfly in Waldridge Common this afternoon after the David Attenborough's call to count butterflies from this coming Saturday, and report them. I will be back in Switzerland but it is very satisfying to know they are here in this area where I used to watch wildlife with my Grandad as a child. I think he is largely responsible for my fascination with small things. He was a miner and enjoyed colour so much, once he retired and had a life above ground again!
