Cross-border swimming
It's quite tricky to take a decent photo of someone swimming across the French/Spanish border when you're sat in a boat being rocked by the waves, holding one toddler in your lap and watching your brave big boy look on in utter admiration at his daddy... You might just be able to make out a splash or two in the distance by the rocky outcrop.
It was a crazy morning, but - as so often - not as bad as I'd feared (spotting a theme?!) We were driven from Collioure back to Portbou over the border in Spain, where we hitched a lift on this man's boat back to Cerbere in France. There, Mr G and his coach plunged into the water and swam back to Portbou, while we travelled back the way we'd come. I tried to swallow my feeling that we should all really have been wearing lifebelts, and focus instead on the amazing swimming being accomplished by my husband. Always easier in retrospect!
