Rain On The Way

We drove to Helmsley in North Yorkshire today with our daughter and granddaughter who had stayed overnight.

When we arrived it was really warm and sunny so we wandered around the town for a bit. There is a new little shopping area so whilst the others went to browse the (tiny) shops I stayed out with the pram.

The view over the castle was getting darker and darker whilst the shops were still bathed in sunlight.

I liked the contrast between the bright new building, the slightly older building and the castle against the dark clouds.

We managed to get in to a nice cafe for lunch and whilst we were in there the heavens really opened.

It did stop briefly just before we left but then just as we got out side it threw it down again - so we headed straight back to the car!
