Red glow from the volcano in Bárðarbunga

After a rather stressful day at work I enjoyed editing and posting a few photos from our trip to Scotland in August (starting here but I've still got six five more photos to backblip).

My mother joined us for dinner tonight and it was lovely to see her again after more than 3 weeks. First we went to Scotland and then she was attending a conference in Portugal.

Later in the evening, at almost 22:00, I had to go outside and decided to try photographing the red glow from the volcanic eruption in Bárðarbunga / Holuhraun. It's amazing to see it here in Akureyri because it's over 100 kilometers away.
