Time for some color

Iris reticulata 'Gordon' is the first bulbous iris to bloom in the rock garden at work each year. This year they are later than last year. I took a photo last year of the clump in full bloom on Feb 12th, other early bulbs were also more advanced last year. Oh well good things come to those who wait.

As I took this photo snow flakes were falling. Last year at this time Denver was facing breaking the record for the least snowy winter in at least 120 years of weather records. This year were are on track for an average year.
