Connecting Blipmeet

Today was spent connecting with "Connections" from Bellingham WA. I picked C up in NE Portland and then we drove out to our house 10 miles west of the city for a day of art, indian food and lots of talk about a new camera.

After a brief house tour, we spent a few hours in the art studio where C learned all about the Gelli Press...here you see her perfecting her skills of printing paper. We did end up with a fair amount of acrylic paint in places it shouldn't have been...a little body art, ha!

We decided to figure out where there was a good Indian restaurant and discovered one quite close to our house, so we ordered to go and picked it up...in a grocery store/restaurant.

Late in the afternoon I drove C back into town in the pouring rain...a much needed sight after almost two solid months of sunny skies. It is especially helpful in controlling the recent fires in the area; so as much as I dislike rain, I'm happy that it's here.
