The cottage is (was) very small...
2 rooms.. one with a fireplace occupying at least 1/2 of a wall. Another room obviously for a bed. No wood door separating the room's (it was usual to use only a curtain) no ceiling too.. only the bare naked tiles.
No signs of a toillet or bathroom

I have this for me.. nobody cares to refurbish those things.. because everybody wants to forget they once lived like this.
There is no beauty in poverty..
