Beautiful Birmingham!

Certainly been a week for meeting up with old friends.

Today, an especially dear friend from Brazil took a day out of a European tour with her parents and son, to come up to Birmingham to see us. It was SO SO good to hug her again, and catch up. Inbetween nonstop talking, tried to do a tour of Birmingham: St Philip's Cathedral (Burne-Jones' windows glowing in the sunshine), Victoria Square, the new library (including a model celebrating its 1st birthday, made in chocolate by Cadbury's), and lunch by the canals.

The weather was perfect - the sun was actually warm. Her parents were impressed by the city. And I got a photo of my nephew on the bull in the Bullring to prove to his Mum that he'd been there.
