Shrine to the 'People's Poet'

An impromptu shrine has appeared in the middle of the Hammersmith roundabout around the 'unofficial blue plaque' that got attached to the railings. Padlocks and notes on the railings gushing heartfelt love and devotion to the late and great Rik Mayall.

'The People's Poet', 'Rick the Prick', 'Kevin Turvey', Richie Rich, 'Captain Flasheart' & 'Mad Gerald', 'Alan B'Stard' and "Richard Dangerous' were his alter egos. Ego certainly loomed large in his world and we do miss him although I expect he will be on Dave for many years to come. Fitting I suppose that he should be remembered in a collection of sad hand written notes, running from the rain despite home-fashioned plastic covers. I think I know what he would have to say about it!
