Sunset

I had a 50-minute Skype call to California this evening. With the hour having gone back, it was almost dark by the time I'd finished, and this was the view from my window.

Went downstairs to crack open a bottle of champagne to share with J on the occasion of our 24th wedding anniversary. It seems like only yesterday that we stood shivering in the misty cold outside the registry office in Inveraray to have our photographs taken!

And now we will settle down to watch the Crime Thriller awards later tonight on ITV3, hoping that they will edit out my mouthed imprecation on learning that I had won!
