The old pump house

An old pump/sluice gate house at Brandon Marsh nature reserve. More dilapidated than derelict? I must have walked past it many times but thanks to Sarum Stroller's derelict Thursday challenge I have taken a new look.

If nothing else - I gave someone a laugh. While I was setting up the tripod one of the other visitors asked me what I was hoping to see, perhaps expecting that I was trying to photograph some of the wildlife, when I explained I was there for the old pump house he said I had made his day ;-)

Shot with my old 18-55 zoom which came with a 350D several years back, I let Cannon's DPP software do what it could in the way of lens correction, it looks to have reduced the flare from the sunlight quite effectively.
