Gonzalo
Yesterday evening around 7:00pm it suddenly got a bit windy. However was soon gone and apart from a few banging doors and quickly having to close windows, noticed nothing.
This morning woke up and on letting the dogs out on the terrace, saw the scene in the Blip.
25 meter high larch which we had been considering felling but were too frightened to DIY as it was so close to the house, had been felled by Gonzalo, precisely to the very centimeter, where we would have wanted it to land.
About 6 of the 20 odd, 30m high, spruce trees close to the house were also uprooted and now block our rear entrance but again luckily fell away from the house. Any day now they were due to be felled by the forestry service.
Started to start cutting with chainsaw but chain very blunt and worn out so sharpening didn't help much. Will have to get a new one tomorrow.
Lost a few stones on Monday but pain still there. This is getting frustrating.
