Happy Birthday R jnr!!

Today is my only grandson's 17th Birthday! What a privilege to have been his Granny for 17 years already! I planted seven of my Citrus reticulata (Tangerine), Afrikaans 'Nartjie' trees today, it will be great to follow their progress as he grows older! ;-)

He was só touched by the gift Lillian gave him early this morning, before school! She bought him a 'Quicksilver' cap, she just simply refused to buy a cheaper one, it hád to be a 'brandname' ;-) He truly appreciates it!

Lillian started working for us on his 5th birthday, which means that she's been working for us for exactly 12 years today! She adores him, she actually knew him almost his whole life!

Tonight we are having a BBQ (Braai in SA), with him and A - the love of his liefe. and her mother! Her father is in Turkey for work at the moment, and her brother, 18 years of age, has another appointment.

A and her mom are sleeping over at our place tonight, they stay far out of town on a lovely farm, and we don't want the two of them to drive back to the farm on their own after dark!

We wanted him to invite a few school friends over, but they all seem to have other parties on tonight, quite a few of them had their birthdays during the past week, and today's kids prefer parties where they are allowed a drink or two, and sorry, but in this house is just no alcohol! ;-)
