All was calm then whoosh ...

I realised that it was 23.53 and I hadn't blipped. I grabbed my camera and quickly blipped this flower made from metal - lovely autumnal colours. I never really thought about what flower it was but looking at it I realised it could be a poppy. It is a whooshy blip and I went with the settings already set from previous blips (might have been blipping swans).

Remembrance Sunday is a strange and sad time for many people. My uncle died long before I was born while serving as a soldier. My grandmother spoke about him so much when we were alone together as did my father. Both are dead now so it feels like the memory is lost. I Googled my uncle's name yesterday - as I have done before and never found anything. This time something appeared. I have now emailed the archive people to get more information.
