Man and his Hawk

The recent publicity surrounding H is for Hawk, by Helen Macdonald winner of the Samuel Johnson prize, charts the extraordinary relationship between the author and her hawk and alerted me to the possibility of a blip pic for today that would illustrate dialogue.

So I popped along to Dobbies in Stirling which has a falconry centre.

Falconers have a special relationship with their birds of prey and I wanted to capture that dialogue between human and wild bird.

So this is Sean with Orion, a five-year-old barn owl.
