There's something fascinating about reflections isn't there? They can give a glimpse of reality or a distorted view of it. Kurt Vonnegut's character Kilgore Trout even called them leaks, as they were holes into other universes.
We had a guy, Nathan, come by today to look at taking some trees out. He turned out to be very helpful and will be back later this week to cut and chip some scrub alders. In passing he noticed the large cedar we have and told us it was probably 500 years old. (Who said Canada has no history?)
We only knew Nathan as an arborist but it turns out he can help us with a couple of other projects, including digging ponds. We may be seeing quite a bit of him.
Today is our son's birthday. He's all grown up so I hope he didn't mind that we couldn't be there to see him. But we are going over to see him tomorrow, along with No 3 daughter. Lunch is planned!
