What else could I do? this is the back of our house, and one day we'll move back home!

Foundation now in, that was up the roller coaster that is earthquake repairs, today we came down the roller coaster with the news that they can't lower the house until January 12 (we had been told December 16) because the lifting firm is too busy.

So we've probably got another 4-5 months before we can move back, more than twice as long as initially thought. But it's getting done and that's all that matters.

At least we have somewhere lovely to stay with our son!

It will be a sad Christmas for so many people still living in broken houses, still fighting for what they are entitled to, still paying mortgages on houses that can't be lived in or in some cases no longer even exist, there are so many still after over 4 years.
