Playing Around

We've had another wonderful day with family, beginning with brunch at Phil's daughter S's home, with daughter E, son-in-law D, granddaughter Z, and grandson B there as well, along with the amiable Labradors owned by S and E. The meal was copious and delicious, and opening gifts afterward was laced with laughter and love.

Later, most of the contingent went to a nearby schoolyard to let the dogs run, and then everyone retired to their respective abodes for a quiet time before gathering for a celebratory holiday meal at Wild Ginger in Bellevue.

The broad-based Asian cuisine was appealing to all of us, and the slow-paced meal allowed plenty of time for stories and laughter. On our way out, the group stopped for some photos amongst the holiday decor, and I admit to a little manipulation of this one of Z and B on a festive raindeer, as I wanted to enhance its fairytale-like qualities.

We'll have a leisurely breakfast with E and D on Monday before our early afternoon BoltBus back to Bellingham, leaving replete with memories of these precious times with those we love so dearly.

(Phil blipped a fine photo of S, Z, and E here.)
