Pitcher Plant ..

While out on a walk around Bukit Shahbandar this morning with my lovely friends Helen & Ros..i decided to some pics of the flora & Fauna here..
Usually we all steam around this beautiful place never taking a second glance.. other than to catch our breath!

The actual plant is formed from what starts off to look like a leaf...
its an amazing thing..
and there are so many varieties..

I decided that the cropped pic gives you a better idea of what this plant is all about..

Body cavity of the plant filled with water... (not rain water but some kind of digestive goo)
Ant (or whatever) walks around the lid or rim area.. which is a bit sticky slippy..
ant falls into the body of the plant..
