Fruits of my Labours...

This evening I put the finishing touches to the DIY Ringflash I started yesterday by painting the outside, putting reflector inside and a diffuser panel on the front.

The resulting Ringflash diffuser works well on live and moving insects as you can see above (my main objective in manufacturing this device). Also to the tight in a picture of the finished device (without camera/lens through the middle!) at the request of delphwynd, chriscurrie and togrrrl.

Now I'm going to have to think what my next DIY photoproject should be! (suggestions gratefully received!).
