In Memoriam

Dad would have been 94 today. He died a few weeks before his 92nd birthday in 2008. My mother preceded him by six years.

This clock was one of their wedding presents. It wasn't an expensive gift, but they treasured it. When the mainspring broke a few years ago, my brother-in-law, John, couldn't find a replacement, but he was able to get it running again, using the spring from the chiming movement.

My sister and John shipped the clock to me from Wales, when C and I returned to Bellingham after Dad's memorial service. Now it's priceless.
