The First Bloom

This is the first bloom this year from my hibiscus houseplant that I keep in memory of Hawaii.

It isn't a native Hawaiian hibiscus but it is double or layered and I like it just for that.

I'll never have enough all at once for a lei but each bloom lasts a day either on or off the plant.

From Hull to Hawaii in two consecutive blips - not bad!
