Hayden Flour Mill_Tempe AZ

Charles T. Hayden built the first mill on this site in 1874. The original adobe structure burned in 1890, it was rebuilt but suffered the same fate in 1917. This mill was built in 1918 and was used until 1997. The mill was closed for good in 1998. It is now empy awaiting someone to turn it into condos or restaurants..... just hoping that they honor it's historical value and at least maintain the exterior.

I tend to over-think my photos and was so tempted to crop this really close so you would only see the main building without the sky - let me know what you think.
