Red rosette
It's show week in the isles. Today it was our local show.
All the cattle and sheep were shampooed and polished and the poultry pampered and preened. Even if you don't know much about the beasts it's kind of difficult to miss the fact that these are fine examples of their breeds.
My friend decided to enter her lab Archie into the pet category. Wouldn't have liked to be the judge, apart from the dogs all looking fantastic there was a ferret, a chicken and a tortoise. How do you compare those? He did the wise thing and split them into dogs and others before handing out the prizes and Archie was awarded the first prize.
Shortly before the competition Archie got a wee bit over excited, broke his lead, slipped his collar and made a bid for freedom. Thankfully another friend spotted him and wrestled him on the ground, glad it wasn't me that had to tackle him.
I took the opportunity to catch a life turns of the winner but forgot that it had to be a landscape shot. So I hastily stuck it together with a background, which explains the odd image.
