Old John

After the appalling rain yesterday, I felt I had to make the most of the sunshine today so I ventured out to Bradgate Park. This is a local public park about 5 miles from me & it contains the ruins of the house where Lady Jane Grey was born.

The park also contains a folly known as 'Old John' that was built in 1784. I normally avoid Old John as it's on the highest hill in the park, but today I made the trek up there & the scenery was stunning. As I've no plans to venture up the hill anytime soon, I thought I'd better show you all Old John whilst I can!
