Great Uncle Swinton

As we are writing about the same member of the family, Lady Findhorn has said it all beautifully and I need not repeat myself.

I've posted this picture of a younger Uncle Swinton showing him as a young son and a big brother. Uncannily, he looks so like my big brother and also my middle nephew. The only boy out of five children, I can only imagine how devastating it must have been for his parents when they received the news of his death in the war.

Such a waste.
