Toddler Superstar

That is exactly what my gorgeous girl has been today. In every sense of the word. Today saw the culmination of a massive project by our Church, a film version of the Nativity, with the premiere screening today at our local Cineworld (which in itself is a huge credit to the team, young people and the piece itself). Katie had a wonderful time with the Cousins so I could do backstage photographs and actually see the film. To say I am proud doesn't cut it. And yes, I am proud of my little girl, she looked adorable, did her part well, but more than that I am proud of every single one of the incredible young people I was blessed to work with.

These 60 kids, every one has gotten right into it, taken ownership and pride in it, and produced a fantastic piece that deserves a lot more credit and accolade than its getting (thanks to the snow stopping a lot of people who wanted to come and review it/give it publicity and press coverage). These are not kids with years of drama or dance training, these are kids with passion, enthusiasm and bags of raw talent. Well done guys, you have really really done yourselves, the project and the Christmas story proud. The finished product is viewable here. It's 30 minutes long, do us a favour, take a look.

After a fantastic showing, Katie came back to me fast asleep in the sling for a short nap. Me, Granny, Grandad and Katie went for a nice pub lunch, she was hugely enthusiastic in her high speed scoffing of everything I could put in front of her! We drove then to a garden centre near by that has wonderful Christmas displays, a fantastic free soft play, and fish aquariams. Katie had a blast!

Granny and Grandad came for tea and bit of a play. This photo is Katie having her own premiere of the movie. She rather liked seeing herself and Monkey on screen. And Monkey was credited in the final credits of the movie... 'Monkey as himself'.

Today's been a really very special day.
