In Retrospect: Swan Lake
Autumn 2007; having owned my brand new digital camera for a few months and arsed around with its limited capabilities (which involved taking a lot of black & white and sepia shots of my mates) I felt it was time to start capturing the world around me.
With a few days off work, I headed up to Windermere to take in the sights. One of the most striking features of the lake is its incredible number of tame swans. At this point in time I'd recently had some wonderful experiences with swans back home, and couldn't resist getting a shot of a Cumbrian specimen to compare it with its Lancastrian counterparts.
