BEAR!!!!

Here is a picture of one of our spoiled babies. This is Bear. Our family rescues dogs from gassing shelters. We rescued his momma (Mia) one late Friday night last March. Mia was pregnant, so we were told. But, no one could tell us how pregnant before we picked her up. We got home made Mia a comfortable bed in my office. Saturday she was to be delivered to her temporary foster home. We were only keeping her overnight but, she had other plans. We woke to strange noise we thought Mia had to go out. I came down to check on our overnight guest only to find Mia with nine puppies. Oh, but it didn't end there. Two hours later Mia had three more puppies one being stillborn. So, Mia and her eleven puppies stayed at our house a bit longer than expected. We couldn't move Mia and her brood for fear she would reject her puppies.

How was one young mommy going to care for all these hungry puppies? Well, Mia was a fantastic mommy she rotated puppies on her own to make sure they all got fed. She cleaned them constantly, as they were always squeaky clean. All eleven puppies lived to find happy forever homes as did Momma Mia. Bear didn't leave he found his forever home with us. Our son adopted him for his son. Bear is a sweet little pup (spoiled like crazy) that loves to have fun with our two dogs. He is the best surprise we could have woken to.
