The russians have ceased to be a threat for a number of years now
Military service became voluntary
A lot of tanks were scrapped
And indeed a lot of training acreage was sold off

So

State Forestry Service acquired the Strubben
And started cutting down trees to make it blend in with its surroundings
Their firewood sales day was an excellent PR event
I made two runs and this is the result: 1.5 m3 of prime dutch oak!
