Waverley Steps

Tonight is the penultimate night that these steps from Princess Street will be open for a year.

They are being renovated and will have lifts and escalators once the upgrade is complete.

I expect they'll look very different once the work is completed and I'm sure many passengers struggling with heavy suitcases up and down here will be grateful but there is something about this wind tunnel of steps that I'll miss.
