Earthquake!

Compared to many in our city we have been fairly unscathed but it was still a depressing sight to come home to find the house in such a mess - though after my journey home from the central city, the fact that the house was standing was of some relief - some weren't. While it's still livable, there are broken windows, large cracks inside and in the exterior brickwork and paving. No electricity or water (apart from the water pouring up through one of the fissures in the driveway).
To be honest I certainly didn't expect another earthquake on such a scale so soon after September's one. The house stank of homemade plum sauce which covered a lot of the items on the kitchen floor. Might be a while before I have any of that.
