Power Cut
Definitely a back blip as we woke to no power Tuesday morning , not helped by the day being very dull and windy. I suppose it could have been worse we could have had sub zero temperatures as we did the last time we had a power cut.
No point in whinging , I felt sorry for the electricitiy workers having to work in the wintry conditions to restore power across the land. After 2 and half days ( 61 hours to be precise) our power was restored on Thursday evening. Halleluiah!!
Just as well we had a gas fire in the living room and had installed a calor gas cooker a few years ago. At least we were able to keep warm and have hot food. Reading books & playing cards by candle light, the room had a romantic glow to it.
Thank goodness we're almost back to normal and the rest of the house should be cosy and warm when the heating kicks in overnight.
