Cockermouth Toffs?

It was the Georgian Fair in Cockermouth today and we were lucky enough to have a Blipmeet with Trev, Ros and Chloe.  From the left here you can see Chloe, Ros, Rob, Trev and Rose.  Don't we make a handsome little group!

A really lovely day wandering the streets, fields and byways of this interesting town in such generous company - thank you so much Trev and Ros.  We went on a guided walk of the town complete with drama scenes acted out by children and adults of incidents in Georgian Cockermouth.  I hadn't realised that Cockermouth had so many talented sons apart from William Wordsworth.

We were able to go into the Castle grounds and Wordsworth House Garden where Ros helps out and then Rob and I went round Wordsworth House.  I survived unscathed a visit to a very expensive dress shop and then we went and sampled some of Chloe's walks around Cockermouth up and down the banks of the Rivers Cocker and Derwent.

A day to remember.
