not Mayflies and it’s not May

I often stare out of the kitchen window while I’m waiting for the kettle to boil.  This is early morning - sunny.  When it’s like this I always imagine this Cotoneaster as covered in flying insects - Mayflies I guess.  

I thought mono would give a better idea - and this is straight out of the camera.  I did try a colour version and faffed around in Nik Silver Efx, but went back to this instead.
