1460: nothing much happened

According to my Pears Cyclopedia (78th edition, 1969) 1460 is an unremarkable date.  Nothing worth writing home about seems to have happened.  Perhaps those involved in fighting the Wars of the Roses were taking a well earned break that year.

Sadly, the 2017-2018 edition of this amazing compendium, first published in 1897, will be the last.  For those who have no idea of what I’m talking about, imagine a Victorian wikipedia in book form.  Had it run to a 2018-2019 edition, the entry for 1460 would surely be updated as follows;

1460: Igor completes 4 years of blip.  

It would go on to say how much he appreciated the comments from people who stopped to look at his entries and how pleased he was that blip gave him the opportunity to actually meet and befriend fellow blippers.  He would also thank his lovely wife Anniemay for nagging encouraging him to get started in the first place.

Or something like that.
