Solid & Reliable

This is my letterbox. It is made of Solid Steel!
We used to have a plastic rural letterbox but it kept getting stolen by teenage boy racers on their Friday and Saturday night jaunts up our country road so we decided to change it!
This one is welded on to a steel post which is concreted into the ground.
It has stayed where it belongs for about 5 years now.
The netting wire is to prevent birds from flying in and out and leaving their "message''.
It does have a heavy flap in the front for the mailman to lift up deposit the mail. We have to make sure the hinges are kept well oiled otherwise it is very difficult for the poor old mailman to get into.
