Not what I wanted....
I think this is Laburnum. There's a lot of it in Dundee, beautiful trees bringing wonderful colour (both flowers and leaves). Went up to a different part of the park from Tuesday to check out the storm damage. It's really pretty bad! Didn't see any squirrels, but I did observe some interesting bird behaviour.
The coal tit nests would have been pretty safe from the wind. I found three today, in the old part of the cemetery on the hill - two underneath grave stones, and one in an old tree stump. Got some great shots of the adult coming in at the last one, where there's a good natural hide (they were too darn quick for me at the headstones!), but the light was very low, and I'd put the camera on shutter priority. Sadly forgot to slow down the shutter to compensate for being underneath a big tree.... Oops! So the shots are beautifully composed, very close up, but so dark that when I brighten them up they turn a bit grainy. If the weather's okay tomorrow, and the forecast says it will be, I'm going to go back and try to find that stump again and hopefully you'll get a coal tit shot tomorrow!
