Orchid

Back-blipping.... Went for a walk up Corrie Fee, in Glen Doll. Beautiful place, and famous for the very rare Twin Flower. Didn't see any of those, but there were lots of wild flowers around, including these wonderful orchids - I think they might be Heath Spotted-orchids, but not entirely sure - that's the closest match in our wee book! Jem actually took far nmore photos than me, for once, as she was snapping all the flowers!

Also saw lots of meadow pipits, off to feed their young - they have clever tactics for keeping their nests hidden - house martins up on the cliffs, and a Golden Eagle off in the distance. Glad I took my binoculars!

Then a wonderful evening with friends on their farm near Alyth, and today (Sunday) off to Stirling for Jem's god-daughter's first birthday BBQ! Nice end to a nice 'holiday' week :)
