New School

Which won't quite be ready for the start of the new school year - on Monday. Not a very interesting shot, but it's all I've got for today, sorry!

The school is a new primary school, which will be the merger of two local schools which will close at the end of the coming school year. It's on a piece of ground which has been vacant for a long time. It used to be the site of Logie Junior Secondary School, which was taken over in the late 1970s by Harris Academy and used for its junior years. That building was burned down in 2001, I believe by local youths, having been empty for quite a while.

The new bilding will block the view of Broughty Ferry from the street in front of our flat, which is a shame. They're building impressively quickly now they've finally got started! You might just be able to make out the pre-cast concrete stairs going nowhere at the far end, and some more lying on the ground.
