I love photography, I always have. Even years ago, when I would just be using disposable film cameras (before I could afford an actual camera), I would be the 'photographer' of my group of friends, and be happily snapping away. This love of photography has only grown over the years.

However, seeing as how I'm being honest, in recent months, I have hit a 'wall' and lost my confidence and am struggling to find inspiration. I can pinpoint it to the weeks after I made the step up from my point and shoot to my much wanted DSLR, and expected to have a smooth transition, as I thought I knew more about 'the big cameras' than I actually did. It also doesn't help that I am my own worst critic! After floundering for sometime and being hesitant to pick up my camera, I am slowly being reacquainted with my fire for photography through a better understanding of my camera. I'm not there yet though, so I'm hoping, through a wonderful community such as this, I will find inspiration in day-to-day life to pick up my camera and start snapping away again!

**Update**
Over the past few months whilst actively participating in blipfoto, my confidence in photography has returned significantly. I am constantly blown away by the kindness of the comments on my photos by fellow blippers and have noticed a definite improvement in my photography, which I am very excited about and hope to keep improving.

I am very keen to pursue photography as a career and hope to get into freelancing. Please visit my Flikr account and if you perhaps like my photos enough to consider purchasing one, please visit my account on Redbubble (both sites very new!)

Thank you all for your support :)
