Split Rock at Clachtoll Bay

A visit from Buachaille this morning - he's been up here since last Wednesday and since he arrived the weather's been pretty dreadful - not much fun in a tent, the forecast isn't looking much better so he's heading home a couple of days early. Norman & Malcy are also off today, but that's planned - at least they had some decent weather before Buachaille arrived!

First an explore of Clachtoll beach with the Red-throated Divers showing well, then off for a wander with Rob & Jean and Lewis & Harris. Passing Maiden Loch in the car Robert had to quickly find reverse as we spotted a Black-throated Diver Check Out RCB, excellent photos, then a fine walk round the coast to Achmelvich. Jean's certainly got those dogs well trained and Robert too as he went back to get the car so's we could continue our linear walk.

A pleasant meal at The Caberfeidh, Lochinver rounded off an excellent day.
