This is the first picture ever taken of Lyra and the moment that made it all real.

If you look carefully you can see she is sucking her thumb!

This scan was too early to tell if she was a girl or a boy. I was convinced she was a boy and really wanted to call her Hendrix. I think Hendrix Hesmondhalgh would be a fabulous name. Her Daddy didn't agree.

Just as well she turned out to be a girl as we found it far easier to agree on a girls name we both liked - and divorce would have been a shame seeing as we'd only just tied the knot!

It was just magical seeing this tiny baby jumping around inside me though I found it rather weird watching her jumping about but not being able to feel it at all!
