Back Blipped

Lyra was complety dwarfed by her car seat in the early days.

From Midwife's Notes:
Pooky is very well and happy - enjoying being Lyra's mother.

Breastfeeding perfectly. Lyra had a feeding frenzy on Wednesday!

She was weighed naked by the health visitor and had gained 260g in 6 days - now 3.210kg (7lb). This is excellent progress.

Lyra's physiological jaundice is resolving well.

On this day, Melanie showed me how to cut Lyra's long nails. Lyra didn't want to wear those little scratch mittens but I was too scared to cut her nails! It seems silly now but her fingers were so tiny and delicate I thought I might chop one off by mistake!

Once I had been shown how I was okay and now (5 months on) I do it at least once a week.
