This Edinburgh Life

Back again

After Susie did the honours on the early start last week, I was back dropping off the girls at Portobello for their 6.10am swim. It was all rather dull looking and the sea and sand blended in such that it didn't make too much difference shooting black and white or colour, I managed a 40 minute swim and a quick read of Kate Atkinson's When Will There Be Good News?.
I'm about half way through but I'm pretty sure it's the one that will be the basis of Sunday and Monday's Case Histories. I would rather read it first and then see how they have adapted it.
Overall the series has been entertaining, with Edinburgh rarely looking finer, but two hours is not enough to do justice to the plots, especially as about a quarter of each show is the same shot of Jackson as a boy running along the canal path and seeing his sister's body being pulled from the water.
