Final day

I don't know anything about this statue, it was just something in the gardens at our hotel.

This was our final day in the Dominican Republic, and we were all geared up to leave at noon when we were told that the erupting volcano in Iceland was holding up our plane (I think our inbound plane was late leaving Glasgow because it came to Glasgow from Europe earlier in the day) and we wouldn't be leaving until midnight.

The hotel staff were lovely (as they had been all week) - we were allowed to keep our all inclusive status for the rest of the day, and we were given a room for a short time before dinner so we could shower and get changed.

As I'm sure you can imagine, it was no real hardship having another free lunch and dinner and hanging out by the pool.
