Finally, construction is coming soon.

This lot has been empty for the 5 years I've been in the neighborhood, from what I can see from the permits on the lot there was a single family home that was demolished in 2005. The good news is that the city, the historic landmarks commission, the neighborhood, the local business association, etc., etc., etc., have all finally approved the construction of a 5 dwelling unit building. Everyone in the neighborhood received several rounds of detailed site plans and building elevations in the mail, per the laws of the historic listing of the neighborhood. Interestingly it was the city's Bureau of Development that was the stumbling block on the decision making, not the neighborhood.

Now we just have to wait and see when they'll start construction!
