Anzac Day

~~They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
~~Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
~~At the the going down of the sun and in the morning
~~We will remember them.

The blip meet get together last night was hilarious, with much laughter, many hugs and endless chatter, did we ever have a great night, loved it......blippers  are such cool people.

This morning we were up well before the larks, gulped down a cuppa then away in darkness to the dawn service at Lake Hawea a 15 drive from Lake Wanaka.  A perfect setting on a high point overlooking the lake, we walked to take our places to the melodic sounds of the pipes, amazing goosebumps stuff. The sunrise put on an extraordinary backdrop of colours to what was a beautiful, poignant service.

We all headed back to town to top up with more coffees and sustenance before heading down to "the tree".  

Lunch at Snowy's, the hostess with the mostest, incredible company, hot ham to die for, many photo shoots, lots of garden photography....all in all a magnificent time for getting to know our blipping friends more. And what a fun bunch!

And as I type this, there is much more to come....back down to "the tree" for some night photography, then all off out for dinner later.

I'm knackered!
