Glanmire Centenary Dives

100 years ago today the steamer "Glanmire" foundered on Black Carr Rocks, in fog and on a rising tide. The passengers and crew all made it to shore safely. The tide lifted the Glanmire clear of the rocks and carried her to deeper water where she sank 500m from St Abbs Head.

Four of us went down to Eyemouth for the centenary dives, it was a perfect day; warm, sunny, calm & great fun. I was diving with Cyclops & here he is posing nicely above one of the winches
