The Green Cross code

Shall I start this annual debate now?
To cross or not to cross? Love em or hate em, what do you do with the little blighters?
I was taught by my Mum to cut a cross in the middle of the base of them to allow them to cook quickly and not go to mush.
As you can see I cross them. Not a religious significance in the slightest, I just needed to come out and say I lurv them.
